The Takeaways
  1. God’s holiness: (1) 7:19-21 --> sacrifices to be prepared/consumed in a particular way (2) Hebrews 10:26-29 --> passive dismissal of living unto God through the power of the Spirit is a dismissal of Christ and his work (4) reality of frustrations --> tension of lament psalms, Moses striking the rock --> being honest before God while also not forgetting his holiness
  2. God’s presence: (1) v.13 --> Exodus 13:21 and 14:24 (pillar of cloud and fire), 19:18 (smoke on Sinai), 3:2 (burning bush), 25:31-40 (lampstand) (2) NT --> Mt. 28:20, Acts 1:8 (cf. 9:24) (3) Hebrews 4:14-16 --> God is always available (4) remembering his presence through trials --> 911 operator helping with HW
  3. God’s leaders: (1) 6:16-18, 6:29, 7:5-8, 7:11 --> priests’ provision in all of the offerings (2) Levites given no allotment in the land, but rather called to a unique role and provision (3) NT --> 1 Cor. 9:13-14, 1 Tim. 5:17-18 (4) my appreciation to the congregation, mention of staff/elder gathering, upcoming time away

Conclusion:
