The "One Anothers" of Romans

The "One Another's" of Romans

There are a number of “one another” verses in the New Testament that help us understand how the Lord desires for us to live toward others. Below are nine “one another” verses from Romans that we will be considering over the next few weeks:

“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” (12:4)

“Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” (12:10)

“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” (12:13)

“Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!” (12:16)

“Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.” (12:18)

“Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” (13:1)

“Owe nothing to anyone – except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.” (13:8)

“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.” (14:19)

“Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” (15:7)
