As we enter into a new year we will spend a few weeks remembering some foundational aspects of our Christian faith, using the life and teachings of Jeremiah as our guide. This Sunday we will begin with "Trust", using Jeremiah's pictures of two trees found in Jeremiah 17:5-8. This passage will remind us that only the Lord is ultimately trustworthy, and that any other person or thing in which we attempt to place our trust will eventually fail us.
