Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner
Host Responsibilities

After the registration deadline is past, the staff will put together dinner groups. Someone will contact each host with a list of those who will be coming to their home. Hosts will be given a deadline date to make contact. Using Breeze for contact information, the host is to call each household on their list letting them know where they will have dinner, provide them with directions to their home or an address, what time to be there (6:00pm), and will discuss what the guest might bring to contribute to the meal (including the number attending will be helpful). IMPORTANT: the host is asked NOT to tell anyone who else is coming. That is part of the fun of the evening!
The host is responsible for creating a menu for their dinner. An example of a menu might be:
  • Meat or meat casserole
  • Vegetable
  • Salad
  • Bread
  • Dessert
  • Drinks
Hosts are welcome to be creative -- have a cookout, serve soup and a salad, or have regular, family-style meal. It is up to the host. Out of consideration for one other, we ask that no alcohol be served at these dinners. Thank you.
If the host has any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Nita Hallman. She will help in any way she can.
